I just noticed, today is the 10 year anniversary of this Deviantart account.  How disturbing and weird.  If only I would have taken art seriously for all of those 10 years, but then I would be a completely different person.  I haven't changed as much as most... but at least I'm not the same angsty teenager I was when I made this account.  The younger me would have expected me to be married with kids and a mortgage by now.  The current me expects that to be the case in the next 10 years.  Hopefully future me doesn't mess that one up.  At least I will count on my future self to be twice as good at art as I currently am... but let's aim for at least three times as good.

Anyway, back to the youtube content portion of the entry:

Hello everyone.  This journal entry is just meant to be a portal to my youtube channel.  A continuing project of trying to provide videos relating to the art world, both educational and sometimes just fun things.

Sinixdesign Youtube Channel

Hopes for 2012 include doing more Concept Design Lab videos, more video sketchbooks, portfolio reviews, guest speedpaintings with interviews, paintovers, more art theory and basics videos, and videos that discuss the history of famous designs and designers.

Here is a tutorial series based on digitally Painting Faces and Facial Skintones:
Painting Faces: 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12

Also, a single video on actually drawing the faces:
Drawing Faces (redux)

"Artist Showcase" is a series that involves getting great artists to share a video of their work process while we do some commentary and a casual interview.  The latest video features Ian Galvin:

Artist Showcase:  Ian Galvin [jet moto redesign]
Artist Showcase:  MrJack [digital painting]

"Design Lab" is an ongoing series that goes through the process of creating a new design, starting with a brainstorming video, and then a followup final design video.  Latest episode of Design Lab:

Design Lab Episode 9 [sunken forest] - Part 1, Part 2, Part 3

Also have an ongoing series called "Let's Explore DeviantArt".  It's a series critiquing and commenting on DeviantART, nothing serious, just going through random days and talking about what's on the front page.  It's all in good fun, for the sake of EDUTAINMENT!  You can check them out the LATEST video here:

Let's Explore DeviantART: Ep. 11 w/ Pavel

Leave comments on the youtube videos with your recommendations for future videos.  Talk to me on twitter too, need more twitter friends!

but i wanted to ask you something: have you got any advice doing thumbnails beside the videos, you uploaded on youtube? because i often still have problems finding interesting shapes. it always looks so easy and supercool, when you do some thumbs, but it is never that easy and cool, when i try it myself.. have you maybe got some advice, or do you think the only secret here is practice and practice and... greets and cheers, G

ps.: i love your channel on youtube and i am looking forward to upcomming episodes!
