Painter 9 is such an incredible program. As far as mimicking traditional media and giving artwork a full and complete look, nothing -not even Photoshop- surpasses Painter 9. Now I just wish I had it...
I'm loving this piece right now, and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, I've seen your artwork on Conceptart.org before. Great character (you depict whoever's character it is very well), and very cheerily ornamented with the hat despite the overall grim appearance. The stylization for the wings both on the "cherub," if I'm allowed to call it that, and on the ankles of the more imposing character add something to the painting that seems to bring it all together for me.
